Representatives from GAC AION, a leading Chinese electric vehicle company, travelled to Thailand to meet with representatives from the Board of Investment (BOI), the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Development Office, and the Ministry of Industry (MIND) to discuss the possibility of entering the Thai market to distribute and invest in the future production of electric cars in Thailand and also submitted a letter of intent to the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) project.

The Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) board has given the green light for CP Group to develop the planned Bt149.95-billion high-speed rail route linking the international airports of Suvarnbhumi, Don Mueang and U-tapao, board secretary Kanit Sangsubhan announced on Monday.
